Patients should avoid the use of the following products and procedures on the area to be treated for 5-7 days prior to the peel:

– Laser Hair Removal
– Waxing or depilatory creams
– Electrolysis
– Microdermabrasion
– Avoid excessive sun exposure

Certain products may increase skin sensitivity and/or cause a stronger reaction to the peel, avoid the use of the following products for the 2-3 days prior to the peel:

Stop any exfoliating or potentially irritating products (hydroquinone, tretinoin/ Retin-A etc.). Also discontinue benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid cleansers and toners 2 days prior to peel.

The use of all skin care products can resume 48 hours after application of the peel solution.

Generally, makeup is not recommended for the first seven to ten days or until the skin has completely peeled.

Use a gentle moisturiser a few times daily to minimise flaking of skin.
